♻️ 2025 Creve Coeur TV & Electronics Recycling Event

The Village of Creve Coeur is proud to partner with CJD E-Cycling to help residents responsibly dispose of their unwanted electronics and metal items. This community event is an excellent opportunity to keep hazardous materials out of landfills while decluttering your home or workspace.

Residents are invited to bring anything with a cord or metal! There is a limit of four large appliances or televisions per household, but smaller electronics and accessories are welcome in larger quantities.

✅ Accepted Items Include:

General Electronics

  • TVs (CRT, flat screen, plasma, projection, console units — fees may apply)

  • Monitors (CRT and flat screen, with or without tower — fees may apply)

  • Computers, towers, and accessories (keyboards, mice, cables, etc.)

  • Laptops and tablets

  • Printers, scanners, fax machines, and copiers

  • Networking equipment (routers, modems, switches)

  • Servers and telecommunication equipment

  • Phones and cell phones

  • Video game consoles and accessories

  • Audio/Video equipment (VCRs, DVD players, stereos, digital recorders, portable music players)

  • Digital converter boxes, cable and satellite receivers

Home & Office Electronics

  • Microwaves, toasters, blenders, coffee makers, and small kitchen appliances

  • Dehumidifiers, air conditioners, and humidifiers

  • Refrigerators and freezers (fees may apply)

  • Washers, dryers, dishwashers, and furnaces

  • Lamps and light bulbs (fees may apply)

  • Metal office furniture (desks, file cabinets, shelving)

  • Medical and diagnostic equipment (call to verify)

  • Industrial and lawn equipment (old motors, mowers, tillers, tools, etc.)

Batteries

  • Lead-acid batteries (car, motorcycle, lawnmower)

  • Rechargeable batteries (NiMH, Lithium-Ion for laptops and phones)

  • Mixed NiCd, Li-Ion, and lithium primary batteries (fees may apply)

  • Alkaline batteries (fees may apply)

Metals & Electrical Equipment

  • Non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum, brass, etc.)

  • Communication machinery and components

  • Electrical equipment, transformers, and non-PCB ballasts

  • Holiday lights and metal decorations

⚠️ Not Accepted:

Construction & Non-Electronic Materials

  • Construction materials, roofing, wood, dirt, or debris

  • Office waste and general trash

  • Tires and textiles

Hazardous & Chemical Waste

  • Paint, oil, antifreeze, or other automotive fluids

  • Pesticides, oil filters, and air bags

  • PCBs (capacitors, transformers, ballasts)

  • Devices containing mercury or lead

  • Asbestos-containing materials

  • Radioactive, flammable, or explosive items

  • Household smoke detectors

Miscellaneous Items

  • DVDs, VHS tapes, CDs, and cassette tapes

  • Re-manufactured ink or toner cartridges

  • Prescription or over-the-counter medications

  • Illegal drugs or paraphernalia

  • Firearms, ammunition, or shells

CJD E-Cycling is unable to accept construction materials, hazardous waste (such as oil, paint, and antifreeze), tires, smoke detectors, or devices containing mercury or asbestos.

All data-bearing devices (computers, phones, etc.) will be sanitized or destroyed on-site in accordance with R2V3 security standards, ensuring your personal information stays protected.
